How to pay for a rental in Phuket: baht, rubles, tenge, USDT
Which currencies work for a Phuket rental, and whether you can pay in rubles, tenge, or USDT — the payment methods Phuket Real 24 accepts, with no guesses about fees or exchange rates.

You can pay in rubles, tenge, or USDT in Phuket — but not everywhere the same way: it depends on the specific landlord or seller, not on some island-wide rule. We, Phuket Real 24, accept payment for our apartments in cash baht, bank transfer to a Thai card, rubles to a Russian card, tenge and other currencies to a Kazakhstan card, cash EUR and USD, and USDT.
What currency do you need in Phuket
Thailand’s national currency is the Thai baht (THB), and most everyday spending on the island runs in baht, in cash or by card. That does not mean a specific rental or service cannot accept another currency — but that is decided by each seller individually, and there is no single rule across the whole island.
How you can pay for a rental with us
We accept:
- cash baht;
- bank transfer of baht to a Thai card;
- rubles to a Russian card;
- tenge, EUR, and USD to a Kazakhstan card;
- cash EUR and USD;
- USDT.
That covers the main options for guests coming from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Europe, without having to arrive with only cash baht or hunt for an exchange counter on day one.
Can you pay in rubles
Yes — by bank transfer to a Russian card. It is one of the methods we accept alongside baht and the other currencies, with no extra conditions beyond the usual booking payment process.
Can you pay in tenge
Yes — we accept tenge by transfer to a Kazakhstan card, the same way we accept EUR and USD to that card. This matters for guests planning a long winter stay or long-term rental from Kazakhstan who would rather not convert tenge to baht in advance.
What about paying in USDT
We accept USDT as a separate option, on equal footing with the other methods. It is useful if a fiat transfer is inconvenient or unavailable for some reason.
How much deposit and advance payment to expect
The advance payment is 10% of the booking total, rising to 50% in the peak period (20 Dec – 10 Mar). Separately from the advance payment, a refundable deposit is collected at check-in: 5,000 THB for one-bedroom apartments and 10,000 THB for two-bedroom apartments. The deposit is returned at checkout. The full price grid by category and season is in our article on Phuket apartment rental prices in 2026, and what exactly is included in the monthly rate versus billed separately is covered in renting a place in Phuket for a month: what is included in the price.
If you are planning a long stay under a fixed seasonal or yearly contract, the payment and deposit terms for those contracts are covered in long-term apartment rental in Phuket.
In short
