A security deposit for an apartment rental in Phuket is a refundable amount that covers the condition of the unit during your stay and is not part of the rental price itself. With Phuket Real 24 it is a fixed sum: 5,000 THB for one-bedroom apartments and 10,000 THB for two-bedroom apartments, returned at checkout.
What a security deposit is
It is a separate payment collected at check-in along with the remaining booking balance, not part of the rental rate. The deposit is not spent on your stay — it is held by the landlord as cover against damage and returned if the apartment is left in order.
How much the deposit is
With us, the amount depends only on the number of bedrooms:

How a deposit differs from the advance payment
The advance payment is part of the rental cost itself: 10% of the booking total, rising to 50% in the peak period (20 Dec – 10 Mar). It secures the booking and counts toward your stay. The deposit is a separate amount on top of that, which does not go toward rent and is returned separately at checkout. When the deposit is returned
The deposit is returned at checkout, by the 11:00 checkout time. It is not returned early and does not carry over to a future booking — it is a one-time amount tied to that specific stay.
Deposit under a long-term contract
If you sign a fixed yearly or seasonal contract instead of a month-by-month booking, the deposit is calculated differently — not as a fixed baht amount, but in monthly payments.
